Lanark Crime of the Week

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for a break, enter and theft at a residence in the hamlet of Blakeney in the Town of Mississippi Mills. OPP say the break-in occurred sometime on Tuesday, Jan. 2 or Wednesday, Jan. 3. An unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole a number of items including, but not limited to, alcohol, a crossbow and a firearm.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the persons responsible for the theft of metal from a business on Industrial Avenue in Carleton Place. Sometime between Saturday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 unknown persons went to the business property involved and stole several pieces of metal. Video footage obtained by police shows two GMC pickup trucks believed to have been used in the commission of this crime. One of the vehicles is white in color with a metal cage in the back. The second pick-up truck is dark in color with a white tailgate.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to help identify the person involved in an incident in Lanark last week. At approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13 a male was observed standing with a crossbow adjacent to Maple Grove Public School in Lanark Village. Police would like to identify the individual involved and speak with him.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for the theft of a firearm and trail cameras. On Sunday, Dec. 10 an unknown person(s) went to a property on Code Road in Montague Township and stole trail cameras from a garage and a muzzle loading rifle from a vehicle

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for a break, enter and theft on Tatlock Road in Lanark Highlands Township this past weekend. Sometime between 12 midnight and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3 someone broke into a garage and stole a quantity of cash, a cellular telephone and a VISA credit card.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify two persons believed responsible for the theft of groceries from the Your Independent Grocer (YIG) store in Almonte on Monday, Nov. 20. Two males were observed leaving the store with two full shopping carts of groceries. They proceeded to an older model Chev Impala where they loaded the vehicle and left the area.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for a break and enter at the Dollar World Plus on Wilson Street in Perth. Sometime overnight November 17-18 an unknown person(s) broke a window and gained entry to the store.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for a theft from a motor vehicle in Carleton Place on Monday, Oct. 23. The unknown person(s) entered the vehicle on Doucett Drive in Carleton Place and stole two firearms (long guns).

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for an act of mischief at the Almonte Presbyterian Church in the Almonte Ward of the Town of Mississippi Mills. Sometime on Wednesday, Oct. 18 or Thursday, Oct. 19 an unknown person(s) spray painted a derogatory term on the side of the church building.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the persons responsible for an attempted break and enter at a residence located on Bennett Lake Road in Tay Valley Township on Wednesday, Sept. 27. At approximately 11:45 a.m. two individuals, travelling in a white Honda (older model), four door car arrived at the residence in question. A male passenger was observed exiting the vehicle and attempting to gain entry to the house. However, once they realized they had been seen by the home owner the pair left the area.

Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or persons responsible for a recent break, enter and theft at a gas station in the Almonte Ward of the Town of Mississippi Mills. On Thursday, May 18 at approximately 4:45 a.m. Francis Fuels on Ottawa Street in Almonte was broken into. Several lighters and phone chargers were taken with a total value of more than $850.
